✚ A potential Group 1 wheat with excellent agronomic profile

Variety Positioning

• WS Vibe is a new addition to the Recommended List.  

• It has a good combination of yield (98% treated, 89% untreated) and disease resistance.

• It has excellent grain quality with HFN (283s), high specific weight (79.1 kg/hl) and high proteins (13.2%), confirmed in Agrii’s dedicated milling wheat trials last year.

• It is in the first year of UKFM baking trials (P1) and unsuitable for export at ukp.

• It is suitable for all soils and regions of the UK. It has a relatively slow speed of development with potential for early drilling and good eyespot resistance (7).  However, second wheat results suggest that it is still best grown as a first wheat.  

• KWS Vibe has medium height (88 cm) and relatively stiff straw (7.9 treated, 7.7 untreated) and medium maturity (+1).

  It has good all round disease resistance with mildew (7), yellow rust (8) (9), and Septoria (6.6) (7.3) but its brown rust is weaker that the official rating suggests (6.4) (4.7).

• Agrii trials confirm that it has moderate resistance to stem-base disease complex.

• Not resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
