Commercial Officer - Crop Protection

We are seeking a Commercial Officer to support the Crop Protection (CP), Biologicals, Adjuvants & Micronutrition (BA&M) strategy. This pivotal role involves providing operational support to the CP commercial team, ensuring the smooth execution of commercial activities and delivering excellent service to internal and selected external customers. You will work closely with Commercial Managers, Agronomists, the Head of CP, and stakeholders - including some key customers, to align strategies, contribute to key decisions, and develop your experience across the commercial function.

Who we're looking for:

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual who is passionate about agriculture and looking to develop a strong grounding in commercial operations within a market-leading business. You may already be working in a commercial, planning, or customer-focused role and are now looking for an opportunity to grow within a central function.

In this role, you will:

  • Join the leading CP team within the UK, working with colleagues to shape and deliver the CP strategy across the whole range of product offers.
  • Assist with pricing, product commercials and business reporting.
  • Compile forecasts, support commercial planning, and suggest alternative offers where needed.
  • Gather market insight to help align strategy with manufacturer and customer needs.
  • Build relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and key customers.
  • Contribute to quarterly reviews and tracking of account performance.
  • Help deliver growth across CP, biologicals, adjuvants, and micronutrition.

What you’ll need:

  • Sharp commercial acumen and ability to translate complex information and strategy into strong, clear messages.
  • Exceptional organisational and collaborative team-working skills.
  • High levels of sustained attention to detail in a fast-moving market environment.
  • Demonstrable numeracy and written/verbal/presentation skills.
  • Confident with data, reporting tools, ERP systems, and Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
  • Proactive mindset, with a focus on quality and accountability.
  • Background or interest in agronomy/crop protection is a must.
  • Experience of biological and micronutrition products is an advantage.
